Allonnes is a French city with 11,098 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Sarthe department in the region of Pays de la Loire . It is located seven kilometers southwest of Le Mans on the right bank of the Sarthe . The city belongs to the greater Le Mans area.

Attractions
“La tour aux fées” (fairy tower); they are the remains of a temple from Gallo-Roman times, which was dedicated to the Gallic god Mars Mullo . Archaeological finds show, however, that the place was used for ritual acts as early as the 4th century BC.
Town twinning
A town partnership has existed with Delmenhorst in the German state of Lower Saxony since 1976 . In addition, there have been partnerships since 2004 with the Sangha in Mali , with San Juan de Cinco Pinos in northeast Nicaragua and with Palestine .
