Ballon-Saint Mars is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Lucé-sous-Ballon and Congé-sur-Orne in the north, Mézières-sur-Ponthouin in the east and northeast, Courcemont in the east, Beaufay in the southeast, Courcebœufs and Souligné-sous-Ballon in the south , Montbizot in the southwest and Teillé in the west.
