The Arrondissement Le Mans ( French Arrondissement du Mans ) is an administrative unit in the French department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . The prefecture of the Sarthe department in Le Mans is also the administrative seat of the arrondissement. Before the administrative area reform of February 15, 2006, 23 cantons belonged to the Arrondissement of Le Mans; five cantons switched to the arrondissement La Flèche and six cantons to the arrondissement Mamers.
