Sainte-Jamme-sur-Sarthe is a French commune with 2,051 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Le Mans and the Canton of Bonnétable (until 2015: Canton Ballon ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Jammois or Saint-Jammiens .

Sainte-Jamme-sur-Sarthe is about 15 kilometers north of Le Mans on the Sarthe . Sainte-Jamme-sur-Sarthe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montbizot in the north and east, Souillé in the south and south-east, La Bazoge in the south and south-west and Saint-Jean-d'Assé in the west and north-west. The A28 autoroute and the former national route 138 (today's D338) run through the municipality .
