Montbizot is a French commune with 1,803 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Le Mans and the Canton of Bonnétable (until 2015: Canton Ballon ). The inhabitants are called Montbizotins .
geography
Montbizot is located about 15 kilometers north of Le Mans on the Orne Saosnoise and the Sarthe , which border the municipality in the northwest. Montbizot is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Teillé in the north, Ballon in the east and northeast, Souligné-sous-Ballon in the east and southeast, La Guierche in the south, Souillé in the south and southwest, Sainte-Jamme-sur-Sarthe in the west and Saint-Jean -d'Assé to the west and north-west. The A28 autoroute and the former national route 138 (today's D338) run through the municipality .
