Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the arrondissement Segré became the area of the two former municipalities Chemiré-sur-Sarthe and Pruillé , and the arrondissement Saumur became the area of the two former municipalities Chemellier and Coutures .
For this, the area of the four municipalities of Bécon-les-Granits , Saint-Augustin-des-Bois , Saint-Sigismond and Val d'Erdre-Auxence changed from the Arrondissement of Angers to the Arrondissement of Segré , the area of the four municipalities of Beaufort-en-Anjou , La Ménitré , Les Bois d'Anjou and Mazé-Milon to the Arrondissement Saumur and the area of the two former municipalities Chanzeaux and Valanjou to the Arrondissement Cholet .
