Rives-du-Loir-en-Anjou is a French commune with 5,560 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Angers and the Canton of Angers-6 .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities Soucelles and Villevêque , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Villevêque.

geography
The community is located around 14 kilometers northeast of Angers . The Loir River crosses the municipality. In the far south, the A11 motorway also touches the area. Neighboring communities are:
- Montreuil-sur-Loir in the northeast,
- Corzé and Sarrigné in the east,
- Loire-Authion with Andard in the southeast,
- Le Plessis-Grammoire in the southeast,
- Verrières-en-Anjou with Pellouailles-les-Vignes and Saint-Sylvain-d'Anjou in the south,
- Écouflant and Briollay to the west,
- Tiercé in the northwest.
