Rives-du-Loir-en-Anjou is a French commune with 5,560 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Angers and the Canton of Angers-6 .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities Soucelles and Villevêque , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Villevêque.
