Saint-Jean-de-la-Croix is a French municipality with 229 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Angers and the canton of Les Ponts-de-Cé . The inhabitants are called Jeanicruciens .

Saint-Jean-de-la-Croix is located about six kilometers south-southwest of Angers on the Loire . Saint-Jean-de-la-Croix is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Gemmes-sur-Loire in the north, Mûrs-Erigné in the south and east, Mozé-sur-Louet in the south and Denée in the west and southwest.
