Val-du-Layon is a French commune with 3,402 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Angers and the canton of Chemillé-Melay (for Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay ) and the canton of Chalonnes-sur-Loire (for Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné ).

Val-du-Layon was formed on December 31, 2015 as a Commune nouvelle from the communes of Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné and Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay.

Val-du-Layon is located about 17 kilometers south-southeast of the city center of Angers on the Layon . Val-du-Layon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rochefort-sur-Loire in the north, Beaulieu-sur-Layon in the east, Chemillé-en-Anjou in the south and south-west and Chaudefonds-sur-Layon in the north-west.
