Ingrandes-Le Fresne sur Loire is located about 28 kilometers west-southwest of Angers on the Loire . The community is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Sigismond in the north, Champtocé-sur-Loire in the east, Le Mesnil-en-Vallée in the south, Montrelais in the west and La Chapelle-Saint-Sauveur in the north-west.

It was created by a decree as Commune nouvelle on January 1, 2016, by merging the previous communities Ingrandes and Le Fresne-sur-Loire .
