Le Plessis-Grammoire is a western commune with 2,381 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Angers and is part of the canton of Angers-7 (until 2015: Angers-Est ). The inhabitants are called Plessiais (es) .

Le Plessis-Grammoire is about ten kilometers northeast of Angers . Le Plessis-Grammoire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rives-du-Loir-en-Anjou with Villevêque in the north, Loire-Authion in the east and south, Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou in the west and south-west, Verrières-en-Anjou in the west and northwest.
history
Le Plessis-Grammoire was first mentioned in the 12th century. In 1791 the former municipality was merged with the previously independent municipality of Foudon .
