Béhuard is a French municipality with 125 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Angers and is part of the canton of Angers-3 (until 2015: canton of Saint-Georges-sur-Loire ). The inhabitants are called Béhuardais .

geography

Béhuard is located about twelve kilometers southwest of Angers on an island in the Loire . Béhuard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Savennières in the north, Denée in the east, Rochefort-sur-Loire in the south and south-east and La Possonnière in the west and north-west.
