Cheffes is located in the Anjou region on the Sarthe River , which also forms the eastern municipal boundary. Neighboring municipalities of Cheffes are Juvardeil in the north, Étriché in the northeast, Tiercé in the east, Briollay in the south and southeast, Soulaire-et-Bourg in the south, Écuillé in the west and Champigné in the northwest.
