The canton Tiercé is a French constituency in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It includes municipalities from the arrondissements of Angers and Segré , its capital is Tiercé .
Historical development
In 2015 the canton was completely reorganized, with municipalities from the cantons of Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe , Durtal and Le Lion-d'Angers being taken over and some municipalities originally belonging to the canton being moved to cantons in the Angers area. In total, after the reorganization, the canton comprised 34 municipalities, in the following years these were reduced to 21 through mergers and the formation of communes nouvelles .

Until the state-wide reorganization of the cantons in 2015, the canton of Tiercé consisted of eight municipalities on an area of 111.92 km²: Briollay , Cheffes , Écuillé , Feneu , Montreuil-sur-Loir , Soucelles , Soulaire-et-Bourg and Tiercé (main town).
