Montreuil-sur-Maine is a French commune with 759 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the canton of Tiercé (until 2015: canton of Le Lion-d'Angers ) in the Segré arrondissement in the Maine-et-Loire department and in the Pays region de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Montreuillais .

Montreuil-sur-Maine is located about 236 kilometers north-northwest of Angers on the Mayenne River in the Segréen . Montreuil-sur-Maine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chambellay in the north, Chenillé-Champteussé in the east and northeast, Thorigné-d'Anjou in the east and southeast, Le Lion-d'Angers in the south and west and Segré-en-Anjou Bleu in the West and northwest.
