Val d'Erdre-Auxence was formed on December 15, 2016 as a commune nouvelle from the municipalities of Le Louroux-Béconnais , La Cornuaille and Villemoisan . The administrative headquarters are in Le Louroux-Béconnais.

Val d'Erdre-Auxence is located about 25 kilometers west-northwest of Angers city center . Val d'Erdre-Auxence is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Angrie in the north, Erdre-en-Anjou in the northeast, Bécon-les-Granits in the east, Saint-Augustin-des-Bois in the southeast, Champtocé-sur-Loire in the south and southeast , Saint-Sigismond in the south, Loireauxence in the south and south-west, Vallons-de-l'Erdre in the west and Candé in the north-west.
