Saint-Sigismond town hall

Saint-Sigismond is a western French community with 381 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . Saint-Sigismond belongs to the Segré and was part of the canton of Le Louroux-Béconnais until March 2015 , and since March 2015 the municipality has been part of the canton of Chalonnes-sur-Loire . The inhabitants are called Saint-Sigismondais .

Saint-Sigismond is about 30 kilometers west of Angers . Saint-Sigismond is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Val d'Erdre-Auxence in the north, Champtocé-sur-Loire in the east and south-east, Le Fresne-sur-Loire in the south and Loireauxence in the west.

The A11 autoroute runs through the south of the municipality .
