The Communauté de communes des Vallées du Haut-Anjou is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It was founded on December 16, 2016 and comprises 16 municipalities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are located in Le Lion-d'Angers .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

with the simultaneous formation of the Communes nouvelles Les Hauts d'Anjou and Val d'Erdre-Auxence .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former commune of Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe and the former Commune nouvelle Les Hauts d'Anjou merged into the Commune nouvelle Les Hauts d'Anjou of the same name. This reduced the number of member communities to 16.
