The Mauges Communauté is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It was founded on December 21, 2015 and comprises six parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Beaupréau-en-Mauges .

Historical development

The community association is composed entirely of communities of the Commune nouvelle type , which were created from former community associations through the merger of their member communities on January 1, 2016. These community associations were:

• Communauté de communes du Center-Mauges , became Beaupréau-en-Mauges
• Communauté de communes de la Région de Chemillé , became Chemillé-en-Anjou
• Communauté de communes du Canton de Saint-Florent-le-Vieil , became Mauges-sur-Loire
• Montrevault Communauté , became Montrevault-sur-Èvre
• Communauté de communes du Canton de Champtoceaux , became Orée d'Anjou
• Communauté de communes de Moine et Sèvre , became Sèvremoine
