Chaudefonds-sur-Layon is a western French community with 952 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Angers and the canton of Chalonnes-sur-Loire . The inhabitants are called Califontains .
geography
Chaudefonds-sur-Layon is located about 22 kilometers southwest of Angers on the Layon , a tributary of the Loire . The Louet limits the community in the northeast. The area is part of the Anjou wine-growing region . Chaudefonds-sur-Layon is surrounded by the neighboring communities Chalonnes-sur-Loire in the north and west, Rochefort-sur-Loire in the north-east, Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné in the east and south-east, Chemillé-en-Anjou in the south and Mauges- sur-Loire to the west and south-west.
