Trélazé Town Hall

Trélazé is a western commune in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . Trélazé belongs to the Arrondissement of Angers and the canton of Angers-7 (until 2015: Angers-Trélazé ).

geography

Trélazé is located on the Authion River . The municipality is surrounded by Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou in the north-west and north, Loire-Authion in the east, Les Ponts-de-Cé in the south and south-west and Angers in the west. The place has a train station on the Tours – Saint-Nazaire railway line .

history

Slate has been mined in Trélazé since the 15th century ; this has led to a boom in the area since the 19th century.
