La Ménitré is a French commune with 2,072 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . La Ménitré is part of the Saumur arrondissement and the Angers-7 canton (until 2015: Beaufort-en-Vallée canton ). The inhabitants are called Ménitréen .
geography
La Ménitré is located in the Baugeois countryside on the Loire . In the north the Authion river borders the municipality. La Ménitré is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beaufort-en-Anjou in the north and east, Gennes-Val-de-Loire in the south, Loire-Authion in the west and Mazé-Milon in the north-west.
The place has a train station on the Tours – Saint-Nazaire railway line .
