Vivy is a French commune with 2,582 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . Vivy belongs to the Arrondissement of Saumur and is part of the canton Longué-Jumelles (until 2015: canton Allonnes ). The inhabitants are called Vétusiens .

geography

Vivy is located in the Anjou wine region on the Authion . Vivy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Blou in the north, Neuillé in the north and northeast, Allonnes in the east and southeast, Saint-Lambert-des-Levées in the south, Gennes-Val-de-Loire in the west and Longué-Jumelles in the northwest.

The A85 car route and the former national route 147 (today's D347) run through the municipality . The municipality's train station is on the Chartres – Bordeaux line .
