Vaudelnay is a French commune with 1,143 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Saumur and the canton of Doué-la-Fontaine (until 2015: Canton of Montreuil-Bellay ). The inhabitants are called Vaudelnaisiens .

location

Vaudelnay is about 20 kilometers southwest of Saumur . The Thouet limits the municipality in the southeast. Vaudelnay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brossay and Cizay-la-Madeleine in the north, Montreuil-Bellay in the east, Le Puy-Notre-Dame in the south and Doué-en-Anjou in the west and northwest.
