Bellevigne-les-Châteaux is a French municipality with 3520 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Saumur and to the cantons of Doué-la-Fontaine and Saumur .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous communes of Brézé , Chacé and Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new commune . The administrative headquarters are in Chacé.

geography

The municipality is located around eight kilometers south of Saumur in the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park . The municipality is affected by the Thouet rivers and its tributary Dive .
