Artannes-sur-Thouet is a French municipality , with 424 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Saumur and the canton of Saumur (until 2015: canton of Saumur-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Artannais .
geography
Artannes-sur-Thouet is about seven kilometers south of Saumur city center . The Thouet limits the community to the east. Artannes-sur-Thouet is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Distré in the north and northwest, Bellevigne-les-Châteaux with Chacé in the east and northeast, Saint-Just-sur-Dive in the south and Le Coudray-Macouard in the west and southwest.
