Villebernier is a French commune with 1,490 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . Varennes-sur-Loire belongs to the Arrondissement of Saumur and is part of the canton Longué-Jumelles (until 2015: canton Allonnes ). The inhabitants are called Villebernois .

geography

Villebernier is located in the Anjou wine region on the Loire . The Authion limits the community to the north. Villebernier is surrounded by the neighboring communities Saumur in the north, west and south, Allonnes in the north and north-east and Varennes-sur-Loire in the east.
