Saint-Saturnin-sur-Loire is a small town and a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Brissac Loire Aubance with 1,359 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Saourniens .
The municipality of Saint-Saturnin-sur-Loire was founded on December 15, 2016 with nine other municipalities, namely Brissac-Quincé , Charcé-Saint-Ellier-sur-Aubance , Chemellier , Coutures , Les Alleuds , Luigné , Saint-Rémy-la- Varenne , Saulgé-l'Hôpital and Vauchrétien merged to form the new municipality of Brissac Loire Aubance. It belonged to the Arrondissement of Angers and the canton of Les Ponts-de-Cé (until 2015: canton of Doué-la-Fontaine ).
