Chemellier is a town and commune Déléguée in the French commune of Brissac Loire Aubance with 795 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) ½im department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire .

The municipality of Chemellier was founded on December 15, 2016 with nine other municipalities, namely Brissac-Quincé , Charcé-Saint-Ellier-sur-Aubance , Les Alleuds , Coutures , Luigné , Saint-Rémy-la-Varenne , Saint-Saturnin-sur- Loire , Saulgé-l'Hôpital and Vauchrétien merged to form the new municipality of Brissac Loire Aubance. It belonged to the Arrondissement of Saumur and the canton of Doué-la-Fontaine (until 2015: Canton of Gennes ).

Since 1986 (officially since 2006) there has been a partnership between Chemellier and Ibersheim am Rhein. They go back to the French intern Eric Perdriau at the former Boxheimer Hof in Ibersheim von Traude and Werner Ellenberger.
