Huillé is a village and a former French community with 557 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Angers and the Canton of Angers-6 (until 2015: Canton Durtal ). The inhabitants are called Huilléens .
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Huillé and Lézigné were merged to form Commune nouvelle Huillé-Lézigné , where they have the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are in Lézigné.
geography
Huillé is located about 24 kilometers northeast of Angers in the Baugeois on the Loir , which forms the southern municipal boundary, and in the Anjou wine-growing region . Huillé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Morannes sur Sarthe-Daumeray in the north and northwest, Durtal in the north and east, Lézigné in the south and east, Seiches-sur-le-Loir in the southwest and Baracé in the west.
