Saint-Jean-de-Linières is a town and commune Déléguée in the French commune of Saint-Léger-de-Linières with 1,826 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Liniérois (es) .

The municipality of Saint-Jean-de-Linières merged with Saint-Léger-des-Bois on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Saint-Léger-de-Linières. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Saint-Jean-de-Linières was part of the Arrondissement of Angers and the canton of Angers-3 (until 2015: canton of Saint-Georges-sur-Loire ).

Saint-Jean-de-Linières is about seven kilometers west of Angers . The municipality of Saint-Jean-de-Linières was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Lambert-la-Potherie in the north, Beaucouzé in the east and northeast, Bouchemaine in the southeast, Savennières in the south, Saint-Martin-de-Fouilloux in the southwest and Saint- Léger-des-Bois to the west.

The A11 autoroute runs through the Commune déléguée .
