Martigné-Briand is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Terranjou with 1,955 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Martinéens .
The municipality of Martigné-Briand merged with Chavagnes and Notre-Dame-d'Allençon to form the new municipality of Terranjou on January 1, 2017 . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Saumur and was part of the canton of Chemillé-Melay (until 2015: canton of Doué-la-Fontaine ).
