Brigné is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Doue-en-Anjou with 486 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Brignéens .
The municipality of Brigné became the new municipality of Doué-en-Anjou on December 30, 2016 with Concourson-sur-Layon , Forges , Les Verchers-sur-Layon , Meigné , Montfort , Saint-Georges-sur-Layon and Doué-la-Fontaine united. It belonged to the arrondissement of Saumur and is part of the canton of Doué-la-Fontaine .
