Tigné is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Lys-Haut-Layon with 770 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Tignéens .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the communes of Les Cerqueux-sous-Passavant , La Fosse-de-Tigné , Nueil-sur-Layon , Tancoigné , Tigné , Trémont and Vihiers from the former Communauté de communes du Vihiersois-Haut-Layon were closed a Commune nouvelle with the name Lys-Haut-Layon merged. The municipality of Tigné belonged to the arrondissement Cholet and the canton Cholet-2 (until 2015: canton Vihiers ).
