Mézières-sur-Ponthouin is located about 20 kilometers north-northeast of Le Mans and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dangeul in the north and north-west, Dissé-sous-Ballon in the north, Saint-Aignan in the east and north-east, Courcemont in the south and south-east, Ballon-Saint -Mars to the south and southwest and Congé-sur-Orne to the west.
