Moitron-sur-Sarthe is a French municipality with 262 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mamers and the canton of Sillé-le-Guillaume . The inhabitants are called Moitronnais .
geography
Moitron-sur-Sarthe is about 32 kilometers north-north-west of Le Mans . The Sarthe River limits the municipality to the north. Moitron-sur-Sarthe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Aubin-de-Locquenay in the north and west, Saint-Germain-sur-Sarthe in the north, Piacé in the east and northeast, Saint-Christophe-du-Jambet in the south and east, Ségrie in the south and southwest and Montreuil-le-Chétif in the west.
