Saint-Aignan is located about 25 kilometers north-northeast of Le Mans . Saint-Aignan is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Marolles-les-Braults in the north, Courcival in the northeast, Jauzé in the east, Briosne-lès-Sables in the southeast, Courcemont in the south, Mézières-sur-Ponthouin in the west and southwest and Dissé-sous- Balloon in the west.
