The inhabitants are called Bosséens .

La Bosse is about 30 kilometers northeast of Le Mans . La Bosse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Georges-du-Rosay in the north, Saint-Aubin-des-Coudrais in the east and northeast, Saint-Martin-des-Monts in the east and southeast, Boëssé-le-Sec in the south and Saint -Denis-des-Coudrais to the west and north-west.
