Berfay is a French municipality with 328 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Mamers and the Canton of Saint-Calais (until 2015: Canton Vibraye ). The inhabitants are called Berfaysia .

Berfay is about 44 kilometers east of Le Mans . Berfay is surrounded by the neighboring communities Vibraye in the north, Valennes in the east, Rahay in the south and south-east, Conflans-sur-Anille in the south and west and Semur-en-Vallon in the north-west.
