Val d'Étangson is a French municipality with 528 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Mamers and the Canton of Saint-Calais .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Évaillé and Sainte-Osmane , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Évaillé.

geography

The community is located around 33 kilometers southeast of Le Mans . The municipality is touched by the Etangsort river in the west and the Tusson river in the east . Neighboring municipalities are: Écorpain in the north, Sainte-Cérotte in the northeast, Cogners in the east, Vancé in the southeast, Ruillé-sur-Loir and Saint-Georges-de-la-Couée in the south, Montreuil-le-Henri in the southwest, Tresson in the west and Maisoncelles to the northwest.
