Oisseau-le-Petit is a French commune with a population of 662 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mamers and the canton of Sillé-le-Guillaume (until 2015: canton of Saint-Paterne ). The inhabitants are called Oxellois .
geography
Oisseau-le-Petit is about 38 kilometers north-northwest of Le Mans and about eight kilometers south of Alençon . Oisseau-le-Petit is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bérus and Béthon in the north, Chérisay in the east, Fyé in the south and Gesnes-le-Gandelin in the west.
