The German Darts Championship 2017 is a ranking tournament in darts and was organized for the sixth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from March 24th to March 26th, 2017 . It was the first event of the European Darts Tour , which will be held as part of the Pro Tour 2017 . The venue was Hall 39 in Hildesheim .

The tournament was won by the Scot Peter Wright , who prevailed in the final with 6: 3 legs against the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen .

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in all rounds was a best of 11 legs . Each leg was played in double-out mode.

Prize money

The tournament totaled £ 135,000 in prize money, an increase of £ 20,000 over the previous year. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
