The German Darts Championship 2018 is a ranking tournament in darts and was held for the seventh time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from August 31 to September 2, 2018 . It was the tenth event of the European Darts Tour 2018 , which will be carried out as part of the Pro Tour 2018 . The venue was again Hall 39 in Hildesheim .

The tournament victory was secured by the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen , who prevailed in the final with 8: 6- legs against the Englishman James Wilson .

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode was best of 11 legs in the first rounds , best of 13 legs in the semi-finals and best of 15 legs in the final . Each leg was played in double-out mode.

The tournament totaled £ 135,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
