Kyle Anderson (born September 14, 1987 in Perth , Australia ) is an Australian darts player with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) .

Career

BDO: 2006–2012

When Anderson was under contract with the BDO , he mainly played tournaments in his native Australia . He never made it to qualify for the BDO World Championship . His greatest achievement was getting into the round of 72 at the 2010 World Masters .

PDC: 2012 to date

2013/2014

In the first year after joining the PDC , Anderson immediately qualified for the 2013 PDC World Championship . He failed in round 1 to Steve Beaton with 0: 3. In the following months he won several Australian Grand Prix tournaments and thus got a starting place for the PDC World Championship 2014 . It was the tournament that made Anderson known worldwide for throwing a 9-darter in Round 1 against Ian White . He was the seventh player who succeeded in a PDC World Championship. Nevertheless, Anderson lost the match 1: 3.

2015

Anderson qualified for the third time in a row for the PDC World Championship . Like two years ago, he met Steve Beaton in round 1. This time Anderson prevailed 3-0. In the second round he met Andy Hamilton and was defeated 2: 4. At the UK Open 2015 he made it to the round of 16. He also played good tournaments on the Pro Tour, which earned him a starting place for the 2015 World Matchplay . In the first round, however, he lost to the later finalist James Wade (7:10).

2017

Anderson was actually 32nd in the PDC Order of Merit qualified for the PDC World Championship 2017 . However, since his visa for Great Britain was not extended in time, the next-placed Cristo Reyes moved up.

Private

Kyle's older brother, Beau Anderson , is also a PDC dart player .
