The Ladbrokes World Darts Championship 2013 was hosted from December 14, 2012 to January 1, 2013 in its 20th edition by the Professional Darts Corporation . The venue was for the sixth time the Alexandra Palace in London . Defending champion was the Englishman Adrian Lewis , who was defeated by Michael van Gerwen 4-5 in the quarterfinals .

The tournament was played in the set system, each set went over best of five legs.

Sport 1 broadcast the PDC World Darts Championship live on German television . The pay TV broadcaster Sport 1+ showed the games live and in full.

In the final the Englishman Phil Taylor prevailed 7-4 against the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen and thus won his 16th world title.

  • 17 international qualifiers
  • The best placed player in the PDC Youth Tour Order of Merit who was not already qualified via one of the first three ranking lists
  • The winner and finalist of a qualification tournament hosted by the Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA)
