Dennis Priestley (born July 16, 1950 in Mexborough ) is a retired English darts player . His nickname is "The Menace" after the well-known English cartoon character Dennis the Menace ( Eng. "Dennis the pain in the ass").

Career

Priestley is two-time world champion (1991 with the BDO and 1994 with the PDC ). Priestley is considered one of the most outstanding players in darts. After he was able to win the first PDC World Championship in 1994, he reached the final of the World Professional Darts Championship four more times in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2000 , but lost each time to the sixteen-time World Champion Phil Taylor .

He is known for his remarkably long concentration phase before his litters. In 2014 he ended his career with the PDC.
