The Skol World Darts Championship 2001 took place from December 28, 2000 to January 3, 2001 in Purfleet . This world championship was organized by the PDC for the 8th time and took place in the Circus Tavern as in previous years .

The defending champion was Phil Taylor , who won the last six of the seven world championships. In the final, he met the Canadian John Part . Taylor defeated Part 7-0 sets.

Tournament course

The field of participants consisted of a total of 32 players from 7 different countries. The game was played in a knockout system . The best 16 players of the PDC Order of Merit were set.
