Skol is an international beer brand that was first marketed worldwide and in Europe on August 25, 1964. The aim was to establish a global beer brand that can easily be brewed worldwide under license. In fact, global success has varied - while Skol is one of the most popular beer brands in Brazil today, success in Europe was limited.

Brazil

The beer has an alcohol content of 4.7%. It is produced under license in Brazil by AmBev and was the most popular beer brand there in 2008, whereas in Europe it has never achieved larger sales figures.
