The Skol World Darts Championship 1999 took place from December 28, 1998 to January 3, 1999 in Purfleet . This world championship was organized by the PDC for the 6th time and took place in the Circus Tavern again, as in previous years .

The defending champion was Phil Taylor , who won the last four of the five world championships. In the final he met Peter Manley , who lost to Taylor with 2: 6 sets.

Tournament course

The field of participants has increased from 24 to 32 players compared to the previous World Championships. These came from 5 different countries. The game was played in a knockout system .
