Circus Tavern
The Circus Tavern is an event hall ( english entertainment complex ) in the English town of Purfleet , Essex . It became known as the venue for the PDC world championships in darts , which took place there between 1994 and 2007.
history
The Circus Tavern was opened in 1974 and has been used to host sporting events, cabaret shows and private events ever since . It has a capacity of 1100 seats.
The following darts tournaments were held in the Circus Tavern:
- 1994 to 2007: PDC World Darts Championships
- June 29, 1997: The Battle of the Champions
- November 21, 2004: The Showdown
- May 30, 2008: League of Legends , 1st matchday
- 2009, 2010: Players Championship Finals
- since 2019: BDO World Masters
